History

December 2010: Cogent completes re-design The Linda: WAMC's Performing Arts Center of the Capital Region (www.wamcarts.org). This re-design improves the site navigation and content and also improves the site adminstration by storing all of the events information in a database.

November 2010: Cogent completes re-design of the New York State Kids' Well-being Indicators Clearinghous (KWIC) website (www.nyskwic.org). This re-design takes advantage of the latest web technologies to enhance and simplify the user experience.

July 2009: Cogent completes website (www.womeninscience.org) re-design for WAMC Northeast Public Radio '"Women in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics ON THE AIR!'

February 2009: Cogent Delivers a computer-based tool to the NYS Department of Transportation to aid drainage maintenance treatment decision-making.

September 2008: Cogent Delivers a DVD called "HEAR ME! HEAR ME! HEAR ME! Voices of Youth in Foster Care Regarding Their Court Proceedings" to The Permanent Judicial Commission on Justice for Children. This DVD use the voices and images of foster children to make a compelling argument to involve them in the judicial process that influences their lives. A web-based version was also delivered.

August 2006: 'Opportunities for People Through Sevices' Video and DVD completed for OMRDD's Office of Public Affairs and premiered at the College of St Rose.

October 2005: NYS Office of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities launches the second of three online learning courses developed by Cogent.

March 2005: Columbia-Green Community College Website (www.sunycgcc.edu), programmed by Cogent, wins gold medal award from the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations.

September 2004: KWIC Website awarded New York State’s “Best of the Web Award”.

March 2003: Cogent becomes the webmaster for The New York State Forum for Information Resource Management (www.nysforum.org).

June 2002: Cogent awarded New York State Kids Well-being Indicator Clearinghouse Website.

March 2001: Cogent moves to historic downtown Troy, New York. Click here for more about Troy.

March 2000: Egrants transactional Website (www.egrants.net) completed. Cogent continues to work with Egrants for site improvements.

January 2000: Cogent is Incorporated.

December 1999: Cogent completes its first project. A CD-ROM Infomercial for Bosley Medical Group.

June 1998: Cogent Technologies founded.
